Candidates carefully vetted for Veterans in Politics Int. Endorsement on April 12th and 13th
Las Vegas, Nevada (April 20, 2014) - - - Veterans In Politics International, Inc. (VIPI), today announced that it has endorsed another eight Educational and Legislative Candidates.
VIPI endorsed four candidates for interviews held on April 12th; Nevada State University Regent (Districts 2, 3, and 5), Clark County School Board Trustee (District D, F, and G) and Nevada State Assembly District 3. No endorsements made for Nevada State University Regent District 5, Clark County School Board Trustee District D, and Nevada State Assembly District 3.
VIPI endorsed four candidates for interviews held on April 13th. Nevada State Assembly (Districts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12). No endorsements (by vote) for Nevada State Assembly District 4, 6, and 8 and no endorsements made for Nevada State Assembly District10.
The VIPI endorsement process is painstakingly fair, unbiased, impartial and non-partisan. It is conducted by 100% volunteer efforts involving people with extremely diverse personal backgrounds and varying political views. VIPI interview panels vary and differentiate at every interview event.
It was created to reflect a pure process, highlighting true opinions and concerns of everyday Americans. All interviews are advertised well in advance, and panel seats are available to the public upon request. The general public is also welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.
The process is always, taped, unedited and does not provide questions to candidates prior to the event. The VIPI panel member’s identities are not released until the day of the interviews to ensure neutral and fair endorsement hearings and include both veteran and non-veteran panelists.
VIPI does all of this for a love of community, in an effort to educate the public on the candidates running for office, and is proud to be one of the only groups in the State of Nevada that endorses candidates with this type of transparency.
Interview panel members included: Karen Steelmon (Auxiliary Director), Alicia Green (PR March of Dimes), Tom Blanchard (President Veterans Real Estate), Gregory Hughes (US Air force), Tony Baca (Mortgage Industries Professional), George Assad (Former LV Municipal Court Judge), Jay Geraldi (US Marine), Michael Broadway (Realtor), Dr. Danielle Duperret , Samira Knight (Nevada Attorney), Nathan Atkins (US Army), William Fox (US Army), Mike Angell (Founder Nevada Legal Forms & tax Services), Ryan Kelley (US Army), Leisa Moseley (The Action Company), Kenneth Wegner (US Army), and Tony Baca (Invocation) on April 12th, Dale France 7th Day Adventist (Invocation) on April 13th.
Dr. Linda Young Clark County School Board of Trustees moderated the endorsement interviews on April 12th, and Kenneth Pollock Clark County District Court Judge Family Division Department J moderated the endorsement interviews on April 13th.
