About Tom Hom:
Tom was the first minority elected to the San Diego City Council in 1963. He then served as a CA State Assemblyman, becoming only the second Asian elected to the Legislature. His other civic contributions include helping sparked downtown's renaissance by being the first president of the Gaslamp association and chair of the task force that led to the development of San Diego (Qualcomm) Stadium. He was named Mr. San Diego in 2014. Tom published his memoir, “Rabbit on a Bumpy Road," this past year.
