Are you Registered to Vote?
Don’t delay! Register before February 17, 2020
You can Register to Vote in California, if you are:

  • A U.S. Citizen,
  • A California Resident,
  • At least 18 years old on or before the next election,
  • Not in state or federal prison or on parole for a felony conviction, and
  • Not found mentally incompetent by court action.

 You can Pre-Register to Vote in California, if you are:

  • 16 or 17 years old, and
  • Meet all other requirements to vote.
  • You will be automatically registered to vote on your 18th birthday.

 Have you recently visited the DMV, moved, changed your name or changed your political party?

If you answered yes – you need to re-register to vote. You do that by completing a new voter registration.

Prefer paper? Registration forms are also available at the offices of the Registrar of Voters, U.S. Postal Service, city clerks, public libraries and Department of Motor Vehicles.
